Optanon Acquired by OneTrust

We are pleased to announce that Optanon, along with parent company Governor Technology, has been acquired by OneTrust.

Governor was founded as a software company 15 years ago. The development of the Optanon platform since 2011 has underscored our focus on data privacy compliance with the launch of one of the first-ever cookie law compliance services.

Since then we’ve continued to grow and serve our customer base while expanding our product line in preparation for EU’s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Optanon’s software-based solutions are already being used by organizations globally for website auditing, EU E-Privacy Cookie Compliance, and GDPR readiness. We decided to seek an acquisition with OneTrust because we believe that this new, combined offering will provide customers with a more comprehensive privacy compliance solution.
