Cookies Used to Identify Individuals by GCHQ?

The UK spy agency GCHQ used the contents of common tracking cookies to help identify individuals as part of its surveillance operations, according to an article published by The Intercept over the weekend.

I went to see the new play last night, Privacy, showing in the Donmar Warehouse in Covent Garden, London. Its aim is to tell the story of both the social and personal impact of online surveillance, by governments and corporations.
